Swedish legend Eric Prydz began what he thinks “might be the best year yet” in his usual busy manner, Following his stellar NYE show in Colorado, the pioneer returned California for a show at the Observatory in Orange County. Promptly on schedule, Eric Prydz has now settled into 2017 with the first EPIC Radio episode of the year.
EPIC Radio wouldn’t be complete without a slew of unreleased tracks, and Prydz has made sure not to skimp in this regard for the first show of the year. Eight Prydz IDs in total make an appearance, beginning with the mix’s opener, a track Prydz debuted the first time just days ago in Colorado. The artist then ventures into Cirez D territory with a series of harder, tech-leaning clips that end with the classic Bauerpost.
After the halfway mark, the mix becomes more euphoric, as the silky, progressive sounds of Pryda make an entrance into the mix. A particular standout in this section is the incredibly moving Mambo 2015, which soars through dramatic synth progressions. Listen to the full episode below.
