Autograf have been keeping their creative content flowing. After reinventing Dr. Dre’s classic “Episode” with their infectious indie dance sound, the Chicago trio proceeded to sample Tupac’s seminal “Changes” for a touching farewell tribute to President Obama.
Now Autograf have flexed their seasoned crossover muscle with an innovative spin on Clean Bandit’s new single, “Rockabye.” The song sports a pleasant chord progression underlying complex vocal chops and a potent mid-range lead. The whole thing unfolds over an intelligent 4-minute arrangement, making for a satisfying rendition of the freshly nominated Brit Awards single.
