One of the hottest new producers around, TheLavish, has taken a break from creating his own productions to take his turn on remix duties. For the official Wavo remix competition, the Munich, Germany, based producer has created an evocative, genre-blending remix of David Guetta, Martin Garrix & Brooks’ track ‘I Do’.

Keeping the original vibe of the track, he has been careful to innovate and change as much as possible whilst also keeping the track recognisable. The beautiful, morphed vocal line kicks off the tune, before giving way to a slow rise and combination of unique and transforming synths. Building up and then leading in to the drop, he manages to create a powerful and punchy bass drop whilst not losing any of the emotion of the preceding elements of the beat. Crunching percussion and creative editing pair up for a breakdown giving the track a chance to breathe. All this before the final second drop, which snaps the listener out of their confusion and would be capable of tearing up dance floors all over the world.

With his own original EP ‘I Was Wrong’ also available at the end of March, TheLavish has been busy making the most of his unique production talents and showcasing them with increased output since the start of the year. Gaining exposure for artists is vital to their continued success and creativity, and TheLavish has entered this competition with the intent of showing more and more people what he can do.
