For most musicians, to be the head of a successful label, founder of a roving festival, and retainer of a superb reputation behind the decks would be more than satisfying. Claude VonStroke, however, feels he can continue to further his career past these facets, and therefore launched a new project under his given name Barclay Crenshaw.

Having eased fans into this new sound with the previously released “Sleepy Kids” and “The Gene Sequence,” Crenshaw returns with the glitchy “U Are In My System.” In keeping with this project’s aesthetic, Crenshaw breaks up the track using a vocoder to repeat the title-hook while a spacey, start-stop beat envelopes and matches the vibe of the recently reformed Cool Kids’ verses.

In addition, Crenshaw’s debut, full-length album, featuring contributions from the likes of Mr. Carmack and The Underachievers, is available to stream now.
